Bun Paratha

Paratha is also called layered flatbread. Bun paratha is a famous road side food in South India which goes well with salna.

Total Preparation time: 3 and 1/2 hour

Ingredients 

  1. Maida flour – 2 cups
  2. Sugar – 1/2 tsp
  3. Salt – 1 teaspoon (as needed)
  4. Egg – 1
  5. Milk – 1/4 cup (warm milk)
  6. Oil – 3 tbsp(as needed)

preparation method

  1. In a large bowl, take Maida flour and add salt and sugar mix it well.
  2. Add cracked egg and milk mix it well.
  3. Add water little by little and mix the dough.
  4. Knead the dough well for 3-4 times and add a tbsp of oil to it.
  5. Rest it for 3 hours cover the bowl.
  6. Shape the dough into balls.
  7. Take the rolling pan pour oil and place the dough and roll it to a thin paratha.
  8. Gently fold it sidewise.
  9. Keep the index finger inside and start rolling and press the edge of the dough to the top of the roll.
  10. Now press it gently with your palm it looks like a bun.
  11. Repeat the steps for the remaining dough.
  12. Medium heat a pan pour oil add the Bun Paratha fry till it turns golden brown by flipping both sides.
  13. Now crush the paratha sideways.
  14. Serve it hot with salna.
