Paratha is also called layered flatbread. Bun paratha is a famous road side food in South India which goes well with salna.
Total Preparation time: 3 and 1/2 hour
Ingredients
- Maida flour – 2 cups
- Sugar – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 teaspoon (as needed)
- Egg – 1
- Milk – 1/4 cup (warm milk)
- Oil – 3 tbsp(as needed)
preparation method
- In a large bowl, take Maida flour and add salt and sugar mix it well.
- Add cracked egg and milk mix it well.
- Add water little by little and mix the dough.
- Knead the dough well for 3-4 times and add a tbsp of oil to it.
- Rest it for 3 hours cover the bowl.
- Shape the dough into balls.
- Take the rolling pan pour oil and place the dough and roll it to a thin paratha.
- Gently fold it sidewise.
- Keep the index finger inside and start rolling and press the edge of the dough to the top of the roll.
- Now press it gently with your palm it looks like a bun.
- Repeat the steps for the remaining dough.
- Medium heat a pan pour oil add the Bun Paratha fry till it turns golden brown by flipping both sides.
- Now crush the paratha sideways.
- Serve it hot with salna.
