Capsicum Chutney

Capsicum has a good source of dietary fiber, vitamin E, B6, and folate. It also contains vitamin C and it boosts immunity.

Total Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  1. Capsicum – 1 Large
  2. Whole Red Chili – 4
  3. Tamarind – small piece
  4. Salt – 1tsp (as needed)
  5. Shredded Coconut – 1 tbsp
  6. Onion – 1/4 cup

Sauté

  1. Mustard – 1/2teaspoon
  2. curry leaves – few

Preparation method

  1. Roast whole red chili with salt using cooking oil in a pan. Keep it aside in a plate.
  2. Sauté the finely chopped onion till it turns a golden color.
  3. Now add the diced capsicum and sauté until it is fully cooked.
  4. Add the tamarind and shredded coconut and stir it for a minute in low flame.
  5. In a blender, grind all of the ingredients roasted and turn it into a smooth paste.
  6. Then Pour oil in another pan. Sauté mustard, after it splutters, adds curry leaves. pour in top of capsicum chutney bowl.
