Chapathi is also known as roti. Whole wheat flour gives a traditional taste to chapathi. Chapathi goes well with kurma, potato curry

IngredientsĀ
- wheat flour – 2 cups
- water -3/4 cup(as needed)
- Salt – 1 teaspoon (as needed)
- Oil – 2 teaspoon(as needed)
Prepartion Method
- In a large bowl, take wheat flour and add salt. Mix it with theĀ hand.
- Add water little by little and mix the dough.
- Water has to be at room temperature.
- Once the dough starts to come to a shape, do not add more water. Then the dough will be sticky add a tablespoon of wheat flour to it make it as desired.
- Knead the dough well for 3-4 times and add a teaspoon of oil to it.
- Rest it for 20-30 minutes cover it with a damp cloth.
- Take the chapathi press and grease chapathi press inside with 1 or 2 drop oil on both sides.
- Make a small ball out of chapathi dough and keep it inside the chapathi press and press it gently
. - Low heat a pan, gently place the pressed chapathi into the pan.
- Turn it on both sides it will have a brown spot on both sides.
Cooking will take 1-2 minutes for each chapathi.- Serve it hot with kurma /curry.
