Potatoes are a versatile root vegetable and a staple food in many houses. It can be served as a side dish with Sambar rice, Rasam, curd rice and with most of the South Indian variety rices.

Ingredients
- Potatoes – 4 medium size
- Red Chili powder – 1and1/2 teaspoon
- Fennel seeds powder – 1teaspoon
- Oil – 2-3 tablespoon(as needed)
- Salt – 1 teaspoon(as needed)
Saute
- Mustard – 1teaspoon
- Urad dal – 1teaspoon
- Curry leaves – 1sprig
Preparation method
- Wash and Peel potatoes skin with the peeler and chop them into small cubes.
- Medium heat an iron pan. Pour oil sauté mustard, urad dal after it splutters add curry leaves.
- Then add potatoes, red chili powder, fennel seed powder, and salt as needed.
- Fry it until it turns golden brown it takes 8-10 minutes.
