Coriander/Cilantro chutney

Coriander leaves chutney has multiple health benefits.coriander or cilantro is a wonderful source of dietary fiber, iron, and magnesium as well. it helps in food digestion. It can be served as side dish with dosa, idli and porridge.

Total Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  1. Coconut – 1 cup
  2. Coriander leaves – 1cup
  3. whole Red chili -5
  4. Oil – 2 teaspoon
  5. Water
  6. Salt – 1 teaspoon( as needed)

Sauté

  1. Mustard
  2. Urad dal

Preparation method

  1. Medium heat a pan. Pour oil, add whole red chili, salt, coriander leaves finally add coconut (Purpose of adding salt after red chili is to avoid the pungent of red chili).
  2. Once it is cool down, grind it in a mixie with a small amount of water.
  3. Then Sauté mustard, urad dal in another pan after it splutters, pour in a top of coriander chutney bowl.
