Potatoes contain significant amounts of fiber. Potato fries is something simple and easy to make with out using a lot of ingredients.
Total Preparation time: 45 Minutes
IngredientsÂ
- Potato – 3 medium
- Salt – 1 tsp (as needed)
- Oil – For frying the potato
- Ketchup – (optional)
Prepartion Method
- Wash the potatoes and peel the potato skin. Chop the potato length-wise.
- Soak the chopped potato in the cold water for 20 minutes (this helps to release some of the starch).
- Dry the wet potato in a paper towel or a clean cloth.
- Fry the potato in cooking oil for 3 minutes in medium flame until they’re soft before they turn brown.
- Remove the potato and drain the excess oil using a metal strainer.
- Again, fry the potato for the second time until it turns golden brown and crispy, then drain the excess oil.
- Now, season it with salt.
- Serve it hot with ketchup.
