Double Fried Potato Fries

Potatoes contain significant amounts of fiber. Potato fries is something simple and easy to make with out using a lot of ingredients.

Total Preparation time: 45 Minutes

Ingredients 

  1. Potato – 3 medium
  2. Salt – 1 tsp (as needed)
  3. Oil – For frying the potato
  4. Ketchup – (optional)

Prepartion Method

  1. Wash the potatoes and peel the potato skin. Chop the potato length-wise.
  2. Soak the chopped potato in the cold water for 20 minutes (this helps to release some of the starch).
  3. Dry the wet potato in a paper towel or a clean cloth.
  4. Fry the potato in cooking oil for 3 minutes in medium flame until they’re soft before they turn brown.
  5. Remove the potato and drain the excess oil using a metal strainer.
  6. Again, fry the potato for the second time until it turns golden brown and crispy, then drain the excess oil.
  7. Now, season it with salt.
  8. Serve it hot with ketchup.
