Kadai Mushroom

Mushroom are packed with nutritional value. They are low in calories and it has great source of fiber, proteins and antioxidants.Kadai Mushroom is a Flavorful Indian dish.It goes well with rice or Chapathi .

Ingredients

  1. Mushroom – 400grams
  2. Onion – 1 Large
  3. Tomato – 2 Medium
  4. Capsicum – 1/2 Cup
  5. Coriander Leaves- 1 Sprig
  6. Mint Leaves – 1 Sprig
  7. Mustard Seeds – 1tsp
  8. Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
  9. Salt – as needed

Ingredients to Grind

  1. Whole Black Pepper – 2tsp
  2. Jeera Seeds – 2 tsp
  3. Whole Red Chilis – 9
  4. Coriander Seeds/ Powder – 1tbsp

Preparation method

  1. Dry roast the ingredients inside of “Ingredients to Grind”.
  2. Blend the dry roasted ingredients and coarsely powder it.
  3. In a blender separately blend the tomato into a puree.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan. Pour oil, add the mustard and curry leaves.
  5. Add the chopped capsicum and sauté it well.
  6. Now add the chopped onion and sauté it till it turns color. Add ginger garlic paste, add the tomato puree. Add salt and cook it for 3 minutes.
  7. Then add the sliced mushroom and the grinded spices. Mix it well.
  8. Add a cup of water and mix it well. Cover it with a lid. Cook it for about 7 minutes in a low flame.
  9. After the mushroom is cooked well, serve it hot.
