Kuzhi paniyaram quick version (dosa batter)

Kuzhi paniyaram is one of the famous South Indian chettinadu style food.

Total Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  1. Dosa batter – 3 cups
  2. Onion big size -1
  3. Green Chili – 3

Sauté

  1. Mustard – 1tsp
  2. Urad dal – 1 tsp
  3. Curry leaves

Preparation method

  1. Take 3 cups of dosa batter in a separate bowl.
  2. Add cooking oil in a pan and saute mustard, urad dal, finely chopped onion, chili & curry leaves add a little salt as needed. (Note: The dosa batter already got salt. Hence, add just little salt.)
  3. Mix these sauteed ingredients with dosa batter.
  4. In a medium heat add oil to paniyaram vessel.
  5. Pour this batter into that and cook it by turning both sides. it may take 2-4 minutes to cook. One way to check whether it is cooked or not, take the toothpick stick and poke it in the middle of any paniyaram when you think it is cooked. When checking the stick, you may consider it is cooked when no raw batter is there in the stick.
