Sweet Kuzhi Paniyaram – quick version

Kuzhi Paniyam is a traditional South Indian chettinadu style food. It is a sweet dish with healthy ingredients like Jaggery and freshly shredded coconut.

Total Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  1. Idli batter – 3 cups
  2. Jaggery powder – 2 and 1/2 cups
  3. Shredded coconut – 1 cup
  4. Salt (Add little bit to enhance the sweetness)
  5. Ghee / oil

Preparation method

  1. Take 3 cups of idli batter in a separate bowl. Add 2 and 1/2cups of jaggery powder and mix it well.
  2. Add freshly shredded coconut to it.
  3. Add a small amount of salt to enhance the sweet taste.
  4. Pour ghee to paniyaram vessel.
  5. Add the sweet paniyaram batter into that cook it in low flame to avoid it turn brown quickly (make sure turn both sides as it helps to cook well inside).
