Peanut Chutney

Peanut have a good source of proteins & fiber. Peanut chutney is a side dish for dosa and idly.

Total Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  1. Peanuts – 1/2 cup
  2. Onion – 1 medium size
  3. whole red chili- 7
  4. Oil – 2 teaspoon
  5. Salt – 1 teaspoon (as needed)

Sauté

  1. Mustard – 1/2 teaspoon
  2. Urad dal – 1/2 teaspoon
  3. Curry leaves – 1 sprig

Preparation method

  1. Medium heat a pan. pour oil add peanuts until it gets the golden brown color. Then add red chili, salt, and onion. Fry it till onion is cooked.
  2. Once it cools down, grind it in the mixie until it becomes a fine paste.
  3. Heat another pan on medium heat and pour oil, add mustard, urad dal, and curry leaves. Once it splutters, garnish it on top of the peanut chutney.
