Quick Paneer Butter Masala

Paneer is an Indian cheese that is rich in nutrients like calcium, vitamins, and minerals. Paneer Butter Masala goes well with Naan or Chapathi.

Ingredients 

  1. Paneer – 400 grams
  2. Onion- 1 large
  3. Tomato – 2 med
  4. Cashew Nuts – 6
  5. Red Chili Powder – 1 1/2 tbsp (optional)
  6. Jeera Powder – 1 tsp
  7. Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  8. Salt – 2 tsp (as needed)
  9. Red Food Color – 1/4 tsp
  10. Heavy Whipping Cream – 1/4 cup
  11. Unsalted Butter – 1/4 tbsp

Prepartion Method

  1. In a pan, add butter, add the onion, cook it until it turns to a golden brown color. Then add the cashew nuts and mix them well. Now add the tomatos, cook until mushy.
  2. Then add red chili powder and salt. Mix these well. After add cumin and coriander powder. Now add the red food color. Blend this into a smooth paste by adding water.
  3. In the pan, pour oil. Add jeera and the smooth paste. Add enough water and mix it well. Now add the paneer cubes. Cover the pan with a lid. After the paneer is cooked well, add the heavy whipping cream. Mix this well, once again.
  4. Serve it hot.
