Salmon Fish Kulambu

Salmon is one of the most nutritious fish. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, proteins, vitamins, and minerals. Salmon fish kulambu goes well with white rice.

Ingredients 

  1. Fish – 250 grams
  2. Onion – 1 medium
  3. Tomato – 1 medium
  4. Garlic Flakes – 10
  5. Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  6. Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  8. Fennel seed powder – 1 tsp
  9. Jeera powder – 1 tsp
  10. Salt – 2 tsp (as needed)
  11. Tamarind – a small piece

Prepartion Method

  1. Medium heat a non- stick pan, pour oil. Add mustard seeds, fennel seeds, and fenugreek seeds. After it splutters, add curry leaves.
  2. Now add onion, fry it until it turns color. Add the garlic and sauté it well.
  3. Add the tomatoes, red chili powder, coriander powder, fennel powder, jeera powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix the masala well.
  4. Then squeeze the tamarind in water to make the tamarind juice.
  5. Add the tamarind juice and a cup of water into the masala. Mix it well.
  6. Cover it with a lid. Then add the fish when the masala starts boiling.
  7. Mix the fish well in the masala.
  8. Cover the pan with the lid for 5-7 minutes till the fish is completely cooked.
  9. Serve it hot with rice.
