Tomato Bhaji

Tomato is a nutrient-dense superfood. It contains essential fiber, vitamin c, and antioxidants. Tomato bhaji goes well with dosa and idly.

Total Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  1. Onion – 1 medium
  2. Tomato – 2 medium
  3. Garlic flakes – 3
  4. Red Chili powder – 1 tbsp
  5. Salt – 1 tsp (as needed)

Sauté

  1. Mustard – 1 tsp
  2. Curry leaves – few

Preparation method

  1. Heat pan on medium heat and pour oil, add mustard Once it splutters add curry leaves.
  2. Add finely chopped onion saute till it turns color and add finely chopped garlic it gives a nice aroma.
  3. Then add tomatoes saute it well and add red chili powder, salt as needed.
  4. Now add a cup of water and cover it with a lid.
  5. Cook it for 5 minutes. When it comes to a thick consistency, it is ready to serve with hot idli or dosa.
