Tomato chutney

Tomato chutney is side dish for dosa and idly. It can be made quickly.

Total Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  1. Tomato – 2
  2. Onion Big size – 1/2
  3. Garlic – 2
  4. Chili powder – 11/2 tsp
  5. Salt as required

Sauté

  1. Mustard
  2. Urad dal
  3. Curry leaves

Preparation method

  1. Take 2 tomatoes and 1/2 onion and 2 garlic roughly chop it and grind it in a mixer along with chili powder and salt
  2. Heat pan on medium heat and pour oil, add mustard, urad dal, and curry leaves. Once it splutters, add grinded tomato chutney into it.
  3. Cook it for 8 -10 minutes. When it comes to a thick consistency, it is ready to serve with hot idli or dosa.
